The meeting between CHP leader Özel and Dilruba Kayserilioğlu has angered Özlem Zengin.

Dilruba Kayserilioğlu, who was arrested and then released after being detained for the statements she made during a street interview in Izmir, made a quick return to the field after her release. Kayserilioğlu, who attended the opening program of the 93rd Izmir International Fair as a guest of honor and met with CHP leader Özgür Özel. This development angered AK Party Deputy Group Chairman Özlem Zengin.

Özlem Zengin, answering Hakan Çelik's questions on CNN Türk live broadcast, said, "When Özgür Özel sat down with this lady last night, a question comes to mind; are you against the legally conducted process, or do you confirm every statement she makes? If you confirm every statement she makes, and if you say this young woman never used a wrong sentence, then you are doing something wrong. Because you are hurting."

"I EXPECTED HER TO SAY 'I'M SORRY'"

Zengin, expressing that she also disagrees with the statements made by Dilruba Kayserilioğlu after her release, said, "There are two dimensions to the incident. One is legal, the other is political. My personal opinion is her trial without detention. Her statements are ignorant, irresponsible... The judicial decision will be made regarding these statements. She will attend the trial and a decision will be made. None of the sentences she said express the truth. The statements are impolite and inappropriate. Her statements after her release are even more irresponsible... She says 'I'm not sorry at all.' I expected her to say 'I'm sorry'."
