Justice Minister Akın Gürlek met with the family of Behçet Oktay, the former head of the Special Operations Department, who died under suspicious circumstances 17 years ago. Gürlek stated that all suspicions regarding the incident, especially the claim of FETÖ links, would be re-examined comprehensively, saying, 'No detail will be left in the dark.'
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek met with Burak Oktay, the son of former Head of Special Operations Department Behçet Oktay, who died under suspicious circumstances 17 years ago, and his sister Şule Oktay, at the Ministry of Justice.
In a statement on his social media account regarding the meeting, Gürlek announced that all suspicions about the incident, especially the claim of a FETÖ connection, would be re-examined comprehensively.

"We came together at our Ministry with Burak Oktay, the son of former Head of Special Operations Department Behçet Oktay, who lost his life under suspicious circumstances 17 years ago, and his sister Şule Oktay.
All suspicions regarding the incident, especially the claim of a FETÖ connection, will be re-examined comprehensively; no issue will be left in the dark.
We will closely follow the process to shed light on all aspects of Behçet Oktay's suspicious death and to reveal the material truth.
Regardless of who is involved in the incident, we will follow this matter to the end to reveal the truth.
I once again extend my mercy to the late Behçet Oktay from Almighty Allah, and patience and fortitude to his family and loved ones."
