The Ministry of Trade stated that market surveillance and inspection activities are being carried out decisively to ensure citizens' access to safe products and to protect public health.

RECALL DECISION FOR PENCIL SHARPENER WITH CHEMICAL RISK

In the statement, it was reported that as a result of inspections, the Mobidus-Ruppert brand brass pencil sharpener was found to contain lead above the limits, and a decision was made to prohibit its market supply and recall the product deemed to pose a chemical risk under the relevant legislation.

The statement emphasized that full compliance with safety criteria in stationery products, especially those used by children in daily life, is of great importance for protecting public health, and it was noted that no product that could risk children's health would be tolerated in the market.

UNCOMPROMISING INSPECTION WILL CONTINUE
