In the updated list of 'foods that may endanger health' regarding adulterated and counterfeit products by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 3 companies from Mersin were included. Inspections detected equine meat in sucuk and raw minced meat sold as 'beef meat'.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues its inspections of products that endanger public health and mislead consumers. In the updated list of 'Foods that may endanger health' shared with the public by the ministry, it was announced that products from three companies operating in Mersin contained single-hoofed animal meat.
SINGLE-HOOFED ANIMAL MEAT DETECTED IN SUJUK
According to the list, single-hoofed animal meat was detected in analyses conducted on 'Yöre' brand 900-gram beef sujuk produced by Üzer Gıda Tarım İnşaat Lojistik Ltd. Şti., which operates in the Erdemli district.
SAME DETECTION IN MINCED MEAT FROM TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES
In samples taken from 'Raw beef mince' sold by Lina Et Gurme company operating in Yenişehir district, and 'Raw beef mince' offered to the market by Zeynep Et Tavuk Dünyası business in Toroslar district, it was determined through laboratory analysis that the products contained single-hoofed animal meat.
