The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque carried out by Israeli extremist groups under the protection of security forces, as well as their provocative actions. Stating that attempts such as raising the Israeli flag and singing the national anthem at the holy site are unacceptable, the ministry emphasized that these steps, aimed at eroding the historical status of Jerusalem, clearly violate international law and deepen instability in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the raid carried out by Israeli extremist groups on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the provocative acts they perpetrated there. In a written statement from the Ministry, it was emphasized that such actions are in no way acceptable.
PROVOCATION WITH FLAGS AND ANTHEMS AT THE HOLY SITE
In the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that Israeli extremist groups entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli security forces. The statement reported that, during the raid, numerous provocative acts were committed, including waving the Israeli flag and singing the Israeli national anthem. The statement said: "We strongly condemn the raid carried out by Israeli extremist groups on the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli security forces, and the provocative acts they conducted there, including the waving of the Israeli flag and the singing of the national anthem."
CLEAR VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW
The statement underlined that such actions targeting the historical and legal status of Jerusalem, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque, are entirely contrary to international law. It noted that such attempts risk deepening the instability in an already tense region, stating: "These actions, which aim to erode the historical and legal status of Jerusalem, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque, are a clear violation of international law and carry the risk of further deepening instability in the region."
CALL ON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO INCREASE PRESSURE ON ISRAEL
Reminding the need for a global stance against Israel’s systematic violations of holy sites, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community. The statement drew attention to the fact that not only Muslim but also Christian holy sites are under threat and reiterated the following appeal:
"We reiterate our call for the international community to increase pressure on Israel in the face of these dangerous provocations and violations carried out by the occupying Israeli regime against Muslim and Christian holy sites."
