The Ministry of Trade has banned the supply to the market and imposed a recall measure on 4 different baby clothing products determined to pose choking and injury risks due to the easy detachment of small accessories.
The Ministry of Trade announced that a ban on market supply and a recall measure have been imposed on 4 different baby clothing products within the scope of market surveillance and inspections.
RISK OF SUFFOCATION AND INJURY
In a statement made by the Press and Public Relations Advisory of the Ministry of Trade, it was reported that the small accessories of the said products were found to be easily detachable. According to the statement, this situation poses a risk of suffocation and injury in the products. Therefore, a ban on market supply and a recall measure were imposed for 4 different baby clothing products.
The Ministry stated that up-to-date information on the products recalled from the market and found to be unsafe can be accessed through the Unsafe Product Information System (GUBIS). In the statement, it was noted that the Ministry of Trade continues its market surveillance and inspections, and that inspections on unsafe products will continue.
