The moments when 3 suspects, who wounded 2 people by opening fire with long-barreled weapons in front of a prison in the Toprakkale district of Osmaniye, and then fled in a stolen car, were caught by the police were captured on City Security Management System cameras. In the investigation into the incident, 6 of the 19 suspects detained were arrested.
In the Toprakkale district of Osmaniye, three suspects who opened fire with long-barreled weapons on individuals they had a feud with in front of a prison, injuring two people, and then fled in a stolen vehicle, were caught after a police chase. Six people were arrested in connection with the incident.
THEY RAINED BULLETS IN FRONT OF THE PRISON
The incident occurred on June 11 at around 11:45 AM in front of the Closed Penal Execution Institution in Toprakkale district. According to allegations, F.A. (25), A.Y. (33), and G.E. (32), upon learning that a person with whom they had a feud would be leaving the prison on parole, came from the Ceyhan district of Adana to Osmaniye. The three suspects opened fire with long-barreled weapons on Y.Ş. (34), M.R.K. (22), and A.G. (32) they encountered in front of the prison. The injured M.R.K. and A.G. were taken to Osmaniye Training and Research Hospital by health teams who arrived upon notification. The injured were later discharged after completing their treatment.
BREATHLESS OPERATION ON CAMERA
It was determined that the car used by the fleeing suspects crashed after the attack, after which they hijacked another vehicle and fled the scene. Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch launched an investigation and, as a result of a pursuit and chase, caught the suspects on the Karaçay Stream Bridge at the entrance to Osmaniye city center. ARSENAL FOUND IN VEHICLE
In a search of the vehicle where the suspects were found, 2 semi-automatic shotguns, 1 AK-47 Kalashnikov rifle, 3 pistols, 12 shotgun shells, 11 9x19mm pistol cartridges, and 21 7.65mm pistol cartridges were seized.
6 PEOPLE ARRESTED
In the investigation conducted by the Provincial Police Department and Gendarmerie teams, based on the statements of the three suspects, 16 more people were detained on charges of 'Attempted intentional murder', 'Armed robbery', 'Violation of Law No. 6136', and 'Knowingly endangering public safety'. After their statements were taken, 10 of the suspects were released, while 6 of the 9 suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested, and 3 were released under judicial control.
