Thylane Blondeau, who holds the title of "the most beautiful girl in the world," married French actor and DJ Ben Attal in Paris. The couple, who wed in a simple and elegant ceremony, broke with traditional wedding customs. This fairy tale of a legendary marriage began on the Athens Riviera.
French model Thylane Blondeau, known as the "most beautiful girl in the world," married French actor and DJ Ben Attal in Paris after a long relationship. The couple, who wed about three months after a romantic proposal on the Athenian Riviera in Greece, broke with traditional wedding customs by arriving together at the ceremony. The simple yet elegant ceremony held at the town hall in the 16th arrondissement of Paris made headlines in the fashion and celebrity world.
A Simple but Elegant Wedding in Paris
Thylane Blondeau, 25, who started walking runways as a child and became one of the world's most recognized models, chose an understated style for her wedding. The famous model wore a white bridal dress with a cape-like design featuring shoulder details, with her hair pinned up at the nape of her neck and natural-toned makeup. The white lily bouquet in her hand completed her simple look.
Ben Attal, 28, presented a classic yet stylish appearance with a white shirt and navy blue suit. The couple arrived at the ceremony hand in hand in a nostalgic Porsche 356 Speedster, entering the town hall amid applause from guests. After the wedding, Blondeau's mother, Veronika Loubry, was seen holding back tears as she hugged her son.
A Fairy Tale That Began on the Athenian Riviera
The couple's journey to marriage began in Greece last March. While vacationing at the luxurious Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel on the Athenian Riviera, Ben Attal's romantic marriage proposal took their relationship to a new level. The path to the sea-view table was decorated with red rose petals, where Attal proposed to Blondeau.
Thylane Blondeau announced the happy news on her social media account with photos showing her massive oval-cut diamond ring. Adding the note "I said yes to my best friend. To eternity..." the famous model received millions of likes. Her mother, Veronika Loubry, also wrote an emotional message on her daughter's post, saying, "My tears are flowing with happiness. I am so happy we have a wonderful son-in-law."
The Great Loss Behind the Happiness
This joyful wedding came after a sad period for the Blondeau family. Producer Gérard Kadoche, Veronika Loubry's long-time partner and Thylane's stepfather, passed away from pancreatic cancer last December.
Shortly before the wedding, Blondeau made an emotional farewell post to her stepfather on social media, saying, "If only you knew how much we already miss you... We are so incomplete without you. I will be forever grateful for everything you taught me, my mother, my brother, and me."
The model also stated she wanted to make her stepfather proud with the success of her new fashion brand and promised to always support her mother and siblings.
From "Most Beautiful Girl in the World" to Fashion Icon
Thylane Blondeau's fashion journey began at a very early age. Walking in a Jean Paul Gaultier show at age four, Blondeau was named the "Most Beautiful Girl in the World" at age six. In 2018, she rose again to the top of TC Candler's list of the world's most beautiful faces, reinforcing this title.
Although her poses for Vogue Paris at just 10 years old caused great controversy, she continued her career without slowing down. She later appeared in campaigns for some of the world's biggest fashion brands, including Dolce & Gabbana, L'Oréal Paris, and Versace.
Challenging Beauty Standards
The successful model also drew attention for her stance against the fashion industry's "zero-size" mentality throughout her career. In past interviews, she openly stated that she would not starve herself just to walk the runway.
"I don't want to be thin. When they tell me 'you're not thin enough,' I prefer not to walk in that show. I'm not going to starve for them. If I want a hamburger, I'll eat it."
With this approach, Blondeau became an inspiration for young models. Through her clothing brand "No Smile," launched in 2020, she embraced a philosophy highlighting natural beauty and sincerity. She summarized her brand's core philosophy with the words, "I prefer not to smile at all rather than put on a fake smile."
Now, Thylane Blondeau and Ben Attal step into their new lives together as a married couple in both Paris's art and fashion circles and the international celebrity world.
