The White Mansion in Bebek, one of the most valuable structures on the Bosphorus, owned by FETÖ fugitive and Koza İpek Holding's owner Akın İpek, was sold at the fourth auction held. Koza Altın İşletmeleri A.Ş. announced on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the property found a buyer for 1 billion 116 million lira, including VAT. However, the identity of the buyer was not disclosed.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS' APPROVAL WILL BE EXPECTED
The company stated that the title deed transfer will be completed shortly after the highest bid is approved by the board of directors. The starting price in the last auction was set at 810 million lira + VAT.
THREE ATTEMPTS HAD BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL
The first attempt to sell the White Mansion was made last May with a starting price of 750 million lira, and no buyer emerged in the auction held on June 27.
For the mansion, which was put up for sale again in March 2025, 950 million lira + VAT was requested, but after the auction held on May 6, the auction was canceled on May 7. The reason given was the decreased demand following the earthquake of magnitude 6.2 on April 23.
On July 21, the price was reduced to 925 million lira, but the third auction on August 6 was also canceled due to insufficient demand.
In the fourth auction, an "open bid and open auction" method was applied. As a result, the highest bid was recorded as 1 billion 116 million lira (including VAT).
