Mehtap Koca and her 3-year-old daughter Ecem Duru Koca, who lost their lives in a head-on collision between two cars in the İznik district of Bursa, were buried side by side after a funeral ceremony held in the Osmancık district of Çorum. It was reported that Gendarmerie Sergeant Yunus Koca and his son O.K.K., who were injured in the accident, are continuing their treatment at Bursa City Hospital.
Mehtap Koca and her daughter Ecem Duru Koca (3), who lost their lives in a collision between two cars in the İznik district of Bursa, were laid to rest in the Osmancık district of Çorum.
The accident occurred around 23:00 on August 2 on the İznik-Adapazarı highway at the Kaynarca neighborhood of İznik district. A car driven by Specialist Sergeant Muhammet Ö. collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction, driven by Adem Murat B.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE TERRIBLE ACCIDENT
In the accident, drivers Adem Murat B. and Specialist Sergeant Muhammet Ö., Warrant Officer Yunus Koca, his wife Mehtap Koca, their daughter Ecem Duru Koca, their son O.K.K., Alaattin U., and Yusuf U. were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances dispatched to the area. Mehtap Koca and her daughter Ecem Duru Koca, who were treated at İznik State Hospital, could not be saved despite all medical intervention.
THEY WERE LAID TO REST SIDE BY SIDE
A funeral prayer was held for the mother and daughter today at the Beyler Çelebi Mosque in the Osmancık district of Çorum, after the noon prayer. The funeral was attended by Osmancık Mayor Ahmet Gelgör, District Gendarmerie Commander Nuri Güler, family relatives, military personnel, and many others. After the final farewell, the bodies of Mehtap Koca and her daughter Ecem Duru Koca were laid to rest side by side at Osmancık Asri Cemetery with prayers.
It was learned that Gendarmerie Warrant Officer Yunus Koca and his son O.K.K. are continuing their treatment at Bursa City Hospital.
