Following the discovery of Osman Zont's body killed in a wooded area in Hatay, the body of his missing mother, Zekiye Zont, was also found buried. The investigation revealed that the mother and son were killed by relatives, and their gold was stolen and sold. It was learned that two suspects detained in connection with the incident stated they killed Osman Zont due to a romantic relationship.

THEY SOLD THE GOLD TO A JEWELER
Investigations by gendarmerie teams revealed that the mother and son were killed by their relatives, and the killers sold the gold they stole from the family's home to a jeweler.
THE YOUNG MAN'S BODY WAS FOUND FIRST
A shepherd who came across a body in a forested area in Akçay Neighborhood of İskenderun district reported the situation to gendarmerie teams. The Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) units that arrived at the scene determined through fingerprint examination that the body belonged to 33-year-old Osman Zont. Zont's body, which was found shot, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
THE MISSING MOTHER WAS ALSO FOUND BURIED
Teams trying to contact Zont's family regarding the incident noticed that 54-year-old mother Zekiye Zont was missing. Upon this situation, teams initiated an investigation and found the lifeless body of mother Zont buried in the ground at the İskenderun paragliding area.
ALLEGATION OF A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP
In the investigation launched by gendarmerie teams to capture the perpetrator of the incident, 2 individuals related to the Zont family were detained. It was learned that the individuals stated they stole mother Zont's gold and killed Osman Zont due to a romantic relationship. It was learned that the procedures for the individuals at the gendarmerie are ongoing.
