Cemal Alparslan, who killed İlayda Alkaş by shooting her after living together with a religious marriage for a while in Diyarbakır, was captured 5 months later in an operation conducted in Şırnak.
On July 15, a brutal incident occurred in 50th Street, Şehitlik Neighborhood, Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır. İlayda Alkaş (22) was attacked by Cemal Alpaslan (30), with whom she had been living in a religious marriage and had recently separated, while returning home with her family after attending a friend's birthday celebration.
İLAYDA WAS KILLED WITH A GUN
As the gunfire erupted, Alkaş fell to the ground, severely injured and bleeding, while the suspect fled the scene. İlayda Alkaş was taken to the hospital but could not be saved. After the autopsy procedures, Alkaş's body was handed over to her relatives and buried.
CAUGHT IN ŞIRNAK 5 MONTHS LATER
Police initiated an operation to capture the suspect who fled after the murder. A warrant for the arrest of Cemal Alpaslan was issued by the Diyarbakır 3rd Criminal Court of Peace for the crime of 'intentional murder.' It was determined that Alpaslan was in Şırnak. Şırnak Provincial Police Department teams captured Alpaslan in the Silopi district. It was learned that the suspect, who was taken into custody, would be transferred to Diyarbakır.
