Cemal Alparslan, who killed İlayda Alkaş by shooting her after living together with a religious marriage for a while in Diyarbakır, was captured 5 months later in an operation conducted in Şırnak.

On July 15, a brutal incident occurred in 50th Street, Şehitlik Neighborhood, Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır. İlayda Alkaş (22) was attacked by Cemal Alpaslan (30), with whom she had been living in a religious marriage and had recently separated, while returning home with her family after attending a friend's birthday celebration.
