New details have emerged regarding the deaths of two brothers found dead in a hotel after having a meal in the Fatih district of Istanbul. The owners of the establishment where the brothers dined have been apprehended, and samples have been sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for examination.
Rashid Mohammed Ajoeb (57), who came to Turkey for a holiday from the Netherlands with his sons Mohammed Jamil Yusuf (17) and Mohammed Yazdani (15), went to Taksim in the evening to explore on August 22, 2025, while staying at the Grand Sami Hotel located on Fatih Beyazıt Hamam Street.
CHILDREN DIED, FATHER FAINTED
After the father and his sons had dinner and explored, they returned to the hotel in the evening. In the early morning hours, hotel staff heard noises coming from the Dutch family's room, and when they entered, they found the children lying motionless on the floor, while father Mohammed Ajoeb had fainted. While the two children lost their lives, the father was taken to the hospital.
OWNERS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT WHERE THEY ATE WERE ARRESTED
New details have emerged regarding the incident. As a result of the police team's investigations, the places where they had eaten were identified. The owners of the two establishments where the individuals dined in Beyoğlu, E.K., B.K., A.K., and T.M.Ç., were arrested as suspects. Samples were sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for examination. The individuals, whose procedures were completed at the police station, were referred to the courthouse. E.K. was released under house arrest, while the other suspects were released under judicial control conditions.
