Reactions to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP Chairmanship by court order, materialized in the Hacıbektaş district of Nevşehir. The Nevşehir Hacıbektaş Municipal Council, in an extraordinary meeting, approved the motion to rename the 'Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu Cultural Center' by a majority vote. In the voting, where CHP and TİP members voted in favor, Mayor Ali Kaim abstained.
The political and social reactions towards Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP General Chairmanship by court decision, were also reflected in the Hacıbektaş district of Nevşehir. The Nevşehir Hacıbektaş District Municipal Council, in a meeting held with an extraordinary agenda item, accepted by majority vote the removal of Kılıçdaroğlu's name from the cultural center in the district.
THE DECISION WAS MADE BY MAJORITY VOTE IN AN EXTRAORDINARY MEETING
According to information reported by the Haberhacıbektas website; the Hacıbektaş Municipal Council convened today with an urgent code. The sole and hottest agenda item of the meeting was the proposal to change the name of the 'Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu Cultural Center.' After heated discussions, the prepared proposal for the removal of the name passed the council by majority vote.
THE MAYOR REMAINED ABSTAINED
The voting map in the council and the stance adopted by the parties were quite striking. Those who voted in favor of removing the name from the cultural center, those who voted against, and those who did not attend the meeting were as follows:
CHP council members Abidin Tunçbilek, Cafer Mutlu, and Naciye Şenlik, along with members of the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) Dede Göçer, Ali Batur, Merve Özgün Aloğlu, and Leyla Kındış voted in favor, while Feti Mutlu opposed the change of the sign and cast a 'no' vote.
Hacıbektaş Mayor Ali Kaim chose to remain abstained in the vote.
Gülşen Salman from the İYİ Party ranks did not attend this extraordinary session.
DEADLINE REQUESTED FOR THE NEW NAME
Although the council agreed on removing Kılıçdaroğlu's name from the sign, it has not yet determined which name will be given to the building. The issue of what the new name of the cultural center will be is set to be discussed again in upcoming council sessions. With the decision, the removal of the sign at the large facility in the historic district was finalized, and until the new name is determined, the center's name remains a matter of curiosity.
