The new cabinet to be formed under the leadership of al-Bashir, born in Idlib, will take on important responsibilities for the reconstruction and stabilization of Syria after Bashar al-Assad.

WHO IS MUHAMMAD AL-BASHIR?

Born in Idlib in 1983, Muhammad al-Bashir graduated from the Electrical Engineering department at Aleppo University in 2007. He started working as a manager at the Syrian Gas Company in 2011. Al-Bashir, who also holds a bachelor's degree in Sharia and law from Idlib University, has also received education in public administration.

After serving as the Minister of Development and Humanitarian Affairs in the Salvation Government between 2022-2023, Muhammad al-Bashir was elected as prime minister at the beginning of 2024.
