Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi stated that he took Recep Yazıcıoğlu, who is referred to as a 'legendary governor', as an example for himself, saying, "I would have liked to be like him one day. I have never strayed from the ideal of serving the nation."
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi shared his career journey and life philosophy that spans from his years in the civil service. Çiftçi emphasized the ideal of serving the nation, stating that he took inspiration from the legendary governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu.
"RECEP YAZICIOĞLU WAS AN INSPIRATION FOR ME"
According to a report by Gamze Erdoğan from Türkiye newspaper, Minister Çiftçi expressed that he was influenced by the management style of the late Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu during his years in the civil service. Stating that Yazıcıoğlu's strong bond with the public and his courageous management style left a deep mark on him, Çiftçi said, "I would follow him, examine the work he did, and often ask myself, 'Can I be a governor like him one day?'"
"MY DREAMS FROM HIGH SCHOOL HAVE COME TRUE"
Çiftçi expressed that the dreams he built during his youth have now turned into reality, saying, "The dream I had during those years was not just a professional goal, but also an expression of the desire to serve the nation. Looking back today, I see that we have never strayed from that ideal that started in high school."
HE FEELS SORROW FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH HIS FAMILY
Çiftçi stated that due to his intense work pace, he has not been able to spend enough time with his family, and this situation has created a sense of sorrow within him. He also mentioned that a sentence his daughter formed at a young age has stuck in his memory.

In his evaluations regarding social developments, Çiftçi said, "The crises of Western-centered cultural hegemony also affect us. But if you blow on the ashes of this nation, its faith will emerge. We must always keep hope alive. Because Turkey is the name and address of hope."
