In Şanlıurfa, science high school student Miraç Koşar became the top scorer in Turkey by achieving a perfect score of 500 on the TYT exam. Koşar stated that disciplined study and family support played a key role in his success, and he aims to become a pediatrician at Hacettepe University.
Miraç Koşar, the eldest child of educators Ali and Hülya Koşar living in Şanlıurfa and a science high school student, achieved a great success in the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). Participating in the TYT and AYT exams held on June 20-21, Miraç Koşar ranked first in Turkey by scoring a perfect 500 in TYT. In the Field Proficiency Test (AYT), Koşar ranked 85th in Turkey with only 2 wrong answers.
IT IS HARD TO DESCRIBE MY HAPPINESS
Sharing his success story, Koşar stated that disciplined study and his family's support carried him to the top. After the results were announced, Miraç Koşar described how he learned the news of being first, his exam preparation process, and his future goals. Noting that he learned he was the top scorer in Turkey from his mother in the morning, Koşar said, "I was sleeping in the morning. I received the news of being first from my mother. It is truly hard to describe the happiness I felt at that moment. This success does not belong only to me. It is the result of a long effort we carried out together with my family, teachers, school, and tutoring center."
"I STUDIED REGULARLY AND CONSISTENTLY"
Emphasizing that the exam success is the product of a long and disciplined effort, Koşar stated that consistency was the most important element during the preparation period. Koşar said, "This was a process. We reached this point together with my tutoring center, school, and family. I studied in every spare moment I found. I slept to study, I woke up to study. There is no magic formula; I studied regularly and consistently."
"THE BIGGEST REASON FOR MY SUCCESS IS MY FAMILY"
Stating that both educational institutions and his family provided great support in his success, Koşar said, "My dream is to study at Hacettepe University and become a pediatrician. I will continue to work towards this goal. My parents were always by my side. They congratulated me when I did well, and they never showed a negative attitude when I did poorly. They were always there for me whether I studied or not. They empowered me with their guidance and motivation. I think the biggest factor in this success was my family. I thank everyone who supported me."
