The Ministry of Interior stated regarding the issue, "Mr. Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, the Governor of Tunceli, has been assigned to the Ministry of Interior. Mr. Ertuğrul Aslan, the Deputy Governor of Tunceli, has been appointed as acting governor. It is respectfully announced to the public."
NEW ASSIGNMENT FOR TEKBIYIKOĞLU
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette today, signed by President Erdoğan, Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, who was pulled to the center, has been appointed as the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Interior.
ALLEGATION OF A CRISIS CAUSED BY PKK MEMORIAL
It was claimed that Tekbıyıkoğlu submitted a petition to the Ministry of Interior to be pulled to the center and appointed as Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Interior after permission was granted for a memorial ceremony for two PKK executives held on May 17 in Tunceli.
HE WAS APPOINTED AS A TRUSTEE
Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu was appointed as a trustee to the Tunceli Municipality, which is affiliated with the DEM Party, on November 22, 2024. The DEM Party-affiliated Mayor of Tunceli, Cevdet Konak, was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for the charge of "membership in a terrorist organization" in the cases he was tried.
WHO IS BÜLENT TEKBIYIKOĞLU?
Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, born in 1976 in Ankara and originally from the Sungurlu district of Çorum, completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1997. After working in the finance sector for a short time, Tekbıyıkoğlu started his career as a district governor candidate at the Ministry of Interior in 2004. He served in various district governor positions including Tonya, Yağlıdere, Bozdoğan, Kiğı, Hassa, and Ahlat.
Tekbıyıkoğlu was appointed as the Department Head at the General Directorate of Provincial Administration with the Interior Ministry's appointment decree numbered 2017/345 dated 20.08.2017, and became the Deputy General Director of the General Directorate of Migration Management with the decree dated 01.09.2018.
Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu served as the General Director of Social Assistance at the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Services with the presidential decree dated 26.10.2018. He served as the Governor of Kırıkkale with the presidential decree dated October 2, 2021. He was appointed as the Governor of Tunceli with the presidential decision numbered 2023/376 published in the official gazette dated August 10, 2023.
Throughout his professional life, Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu has achieved many successes and received numerous certificates of achievement for implementing various development, employment, social assistance, and promotion projects in the places he served.
