Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan made statements regarding the team's agenda. Responding to the question "Will we see new Mohamed Salahs?" Doğan said, "Whoever the names are that will take us to the top, we will sign them. We have names in mind."
Ertuğrul Doğan, President of Süper Lig giant Trabzonspor, made statements regarding the agenda of the maroon-blue club.
'OUR GOALS ARE BIG'
Evaluating his team's current situation, Ertuğrul Doğan said, 'We could not start the season well, but a new era began with Thomas Reis. They are doing very well right now. I thank the technical team and the players. When the fans are behind us, Trabzonspor is the clear favorite in every match. Our goals are big. I do not want to voice that. We want to be successful in Turkey and in Europe. We made transfers accordingly. We wanted to bring young people and experienced names together in the squad. We have started to establish some things. God willing, we will also leave the Hearts and Rizespor matches with victories.' he said.
'HIS ENERGY REFLECTS ON THE TEAM'
Commenting on Thomas Reis, Ertuğrul Doğan said, 'We had made a long-term agreement with Fatih Tekke, but he decided to leave. We spoke with other coaches, but there was no time to lose. We set out with Thomas Reis, who knows the country. He was very eager. We started very well; his energy reflects on the team. We also provide him with every support. God willing, we will see better days.' he stated.
'AT THE LEVEL OF MESSI AND RONALDO'
Doğan, who also spoke about Muhammed Salah's transfer, said, 'Muhammed Salah has achieved every kind of success in his career. At the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo... It is very important to sign such a player. He has been happy since the first day he arrived. You know the interest in the city; nearly 30 thousand fans came to the airport. There was a signing ceremony in a full stadium; I do not think there has been an example of it. May God protect from the evil eye. He is a very eager and very valuable player. He has made a great contribution to the city and to Trabzonspor.' he remarked.
'WE WILL SIGN WHOEVER IS NEEDED DURING THE WINTER BREAK'
Doğan, who also gave information about transfer work, commented, 'There are reports prepared by our domestic and international reporting team. We send these reports to Thomas Reis and his team. We receive feedback. Our fans should have no doubts. We will evaluate every request from our coach for the winter break. We will sign whoever is needed. The word 'we will sign' is misunderstood. Their teams also need to release the players. Winter-break transfers are not easy. We will make our request clear and push the conditions. We will do whatever is in our power; we can promise that.'
'WE WILL SIGN THE NAMES WHO WILL TAKE US TO THE TOP'
Responding to the question 'Will we see new Muhammed Salahs?', Doğan said, 'We will sign whoever the names are who will take us to the top. We have names in mind. We will not give names without Thomas Reis's permission. There are other names we have suggested. Team harmony is also important. We must not disrupt something that is going well. Even a transfer like Fabinho has almost been forgotten. He played for the Brazil national team in the last World Cup. He is also a great character. He is not fully ready yet; he will get even better. Andre Onana is also such a name.' he stated.
