Suat Kılıç, Deputy Chairman of the New Welfare Party, stated that the 'framework law' brought to the agenda within the scope of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process should be put to a referendum, saying, 'This framework, which has been signed and hung on the wall, is empty. It is not possible for us to support this enigma or to sign onto uncertainty.'

Suat Kılıç, Deputy Chairman of the New Welfare Party, made statements to the press during the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting held at the party's Kağıthane District Headquarters.

Kılıç stated that with the appointment of Yunus Emre Taşçı to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency of the New Welfare Party, the party has gained dynamism and therefore MYK meetings will also be held in Istanbul. He also noted that the Istanbul Provincial Presidency of the New Welfare Party has moved to 4th Levent and restoration work is ongoing.

"THERE IS A FRAMEWORK, BUT NO LAW"

Kılıç made the following assessments regarding the 'framework law' that is on the public agenda concerning the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process: "We say 'law', but there is a framework, not a law. Signatures have been opened for the framework in the ruling party's parliamentary groups. Honorable deputies are currently signing blank paper. These signatures will be used for the submission of the proposal to the committee. But as I said, no one knows the articles of the law. Deputies do not know what they are signing, and the public does not know what is being signed. There is a solution process, there is its framework, but there is no law. The public does not know, the deputies do not know. However, the DEM Party knows, Abdullah Öcalan knows, but we do not know. The opposition parties in Parliament do not know. The ruling party deputies also do not know what they are signing.

"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO SUPPORT THIS ENIGMA"

The content of this framework, which is signed and hung on the wall, is empty. It is impossible for us to support this enigma or to sign onto this uncertainty. The framework of the law is not clear, and the law of the framework is not clear. Therefore, the framework and the law are, in a way, a lawless framework.

"IT SHOULD BE TAKEN TO A REFERENDUM"

Both the public and the opposition must be urgently informed about both the framework and the law. As we always say, as our Chairman Dr. Fatih Erbakan has expressed from the very first day, this law should be taken to a referendum, just like constitutional amendments, and the support of our noble nation should be sought."
