31-year-old Mehmet Koparan, who lost his 5-day battle for life after a motorcycle accident in Bursa's Orhangazi district, was laid to rest amid tears. It was revealed that the unfortunate young man's sister, Aslı Koparan, also died in a motorcycle accident 11 years ago, and the two siblings were buried side by side.
In the Orhangazi district of Bursa, 31-year-old Mehmet Koparan, who lost his 5-day life struggle after a motorcycle accident on May 31, was laid to rest amid tears in the Sölöz neighborhood of Orhangazi. Tears flowed like a flood for Mehmet Koparan, who was buried next to Aslı Koparan, who lost her life in a motorcycle accident in Çanakkale in 2015.
The accident occurred last Sunday on the Gölyaka coastal road in Orhangazi. While 31-year-old Mehmet Koparan was riding his motorcycle, he collided with a light commercial vehicle attempting to turn onto the coastal road and rolled into a bushy area. Severely injured, Mehmet Koparan was taken to the intensive care unit at Bursa City Hospital, where he lost his 5-day life struggle.
BURIED NEXT TO HIS SISTER
It emerged that Mehmet Koparan's sister, Aslı Koparan, who died at a young age in a motorcycle accident, also lost her life in a motorcycle accident in Çanakkale in July 2015. Father Yalçın and mother Mücella Koparan, who lost two children in motorcycle accidents 11 years apart and who are reportedly still undergoing cancer treatment, experienced great sorrow. Mehmet Koparan's body was taken from the City Hospital and brought to the rural Sölöz neighborhood of Orhangazi. After the noon funeral prayer, Mehmet Koparan was sent off on his final journey. The young man was buried next to his sister Aslı Koparan, who shared the same fate 11 years ago. Samet, the only surviving child of Yalçın and Mücella Koparan, wept for a long time at the funeral.
HIS ORGANS WILL GIVE HOPE TO OTHER PATIENTS
It was determined that Mehmet Koparan, who succumbed to his life struggle at the City Hospital, had donated his organs before his death. After his death, his organs were donated with his family's approval.
