Bayern Munich, a team in the German First Football League (Bundesliga), has announced that Lennart Karl will not be able to play in the 2026 World Cup due to an injury.
In a statement from the Bavarian club, it was noted that during a training session in the USA, the 18-year-old star suffered a muscle fiber tear in his left thigh, and the club is ready to provide Karl with all kinds of support during this difficult time.
Sports director Max Eberl said, "Missing the World Cup at the last minute is, of course, incredibly painful. However, this does not change the fact that Lennart possesses immense talent, passion, and potential. He more than deserved to be in this World Cup after that extraordinary first professional season."
