KIM HOLDS EXTENSIVE MEETING WITH COMMANDERS
According to North Korea's Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Jong-un held an extensive meeting with division and brigade commanders from the army for the first time since he came to power in 2011.
The meeting was attended by North Korean Chief of General Staff Ri Yong-gil and senior military officials. The gathering, involving approximately 180 to 250 commanders, drew attention as it was held following a recent increase in military activity along the border.

During the meeting, Kim Jong-un reiterated the policy of turning the South Korean border into an "impregnable fortress." Emphasizing that the development of military technology in frontline units is critical for deterrence, Kim called for strengthening units to suit modern warfare conditions.
EMPHASIS ON "SWORN ENEMY"
Kim Jong-un also demanded that the military maintain constant vigilance against South Korea, which he described as a "sworn enemy." The North Korean leader also unveiled a new military training reform plan focusing on practical drills.
HIGHLIGHTED MILITARY MODERNIZATION
Noting progress in military modernization and technical equipment, Kim argued that they have built a strong military structure. Kim also stated that ideology and faith could surpass the limits of physical strength in war.
