Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who explained all the details regarding the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ, stated: "At 15:26, a hijacked taxi arrives at the TUSAŞ gate. Two scoundrels, one male and one female, get out of the vehicle. They open fire on innocent people. Our friends, our brothers, who were martyred right there. Our hero Atakan Şahin, despite being injured, also becomes a martyr. Despite being injured, he fires at the terrorist and injures the female terrorist. Seeing that she was injured 4 minutes after 15:26, the female terrorist detonates herself. We know from previous attacks of this nature that she had a significant amount of plastic explosives on her body. After this explosion, that is, 10 minutes after 15:30, our gendarmerie special operations arrive there with two armored vehicles. In other words, 14 minutes after the attack. The first intervention there is made by 2 armored vehicles and our gendarmerie. Our gendarmerie and police special operations units move there rapidly. The Deputy Commander of the Gendarmerie General Command, our Chief of Police, and two deputy ministers arrive there as quickly as possible, with 730 police and gendarmerie units coming. Air assets, especially UAVs, are sent to the location of the incident. Yes, at 15:30, the female terrorist was injured and realizing she could not escape, she detonated herself. At 15:52, an armored vehicle enters the academy building closest to the gate, knowing that the male terrorist has entered.

"NO HOSTAGE SITUATION OCCURRED WHATSOEVER"

Without any injuries, the terrorist was neutralized in such a short time with such minimal casualties, demonstrating the capability, courage, and determination of our special operations. The Ministry of Interior shared the details of the operation carried out regarding the bomb terrorist attack on the TUSAŞ central campus. The information shared by the ministry is as follows:

15:26 - The terrorists arrive at the TUSAŞ campus by taxi and carry out the first attack.

15:30 - The female terrorist detonates herself after being shot by Special Security Officer Atakan Şahin.

15:40 - 2 armored vehicles and 10 personnel intervene under the command of the gendarmerie.

15:52 - The Police Special Operations Team breaks through the turnstiles at the entrance of the TUSAŞ academy building with an armored vehicle.

16:09 - The Police Special Operations Team begins to deploy to the area by helicopter.

16:13 - The evacuation of TUSAŞ personnel at the entrance of the building begins by the Police Special Operations Team.

16:20 - The 'Dragon 120' Team from the Ankara Gendarmerie Commando Battalion joins the intervening Police Special Operations officers and enters through the back door of the building.

16:24 - The 1st JOPER Team from the Gendarmerie Special Search and Rescue Command lands at the TUSAŞ facility with an S-70 General Purpose Helicopter.
