State Theater actress Sema Çeyrekbaşı has been admitted to intensive care due to a blood clot in the brain. No statement has been made yet regarding the actress's health condition.

The veteran actress Sema Çeyrekbaşı, who transferred to the Sandık Kokusu series broadcasted on Show TV after the final of the Kendi Düşen Ağlamaz series on TRT 1, was taken to the hospital. The 73-year-old veteran actress was admitted to the intensive care unit due to a blood clot in the brain. No statement has been made yet about the health condition of the veteran actress.

WHO IS SEMA ÇEYREKBAŞI?

Sema Çeyrekbaşıoğlu was born in İzmir in 1951. She is the granddaughter of Latife Bekir Çeyrekbaşı, one of the leading figures of the women's movement in Turkey. She has played roles in many plays at the Istanbul State Theater. She served as the Artistic Director at the institution in the 1993-1994 season.

In 2007, she won the Supporting Actress of the Year Award at the 11th Afife Theater Awards for her role in the play "Inishmaan's Cripple". In 2011, she was honored with the Supporting Actress of the Year Award at the 15th Afife Theater Awards for her role in the play "Temiz Ev", and with the Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Comedy or Musical Award at the 16th Sadri Alışık Awards. She has also appeared in important Turkish films such as "Kuyucaklı Yusuf", "Kadının Adı Yok", and "Sinyora Enrica ile İtalyan Olmak".
