In Afyonkarahisar, a police vehicle parked on a pedestrian walkway was fined for a traffic violation under the instruction of Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Birtan Erol.
A traffic fine was issued to a police vehicle in Afyonkarahisar.
A FINE OF 993 LIRA WAS ISSUED
After a citizen living in the city center sent a photo of a traffic police vehicle parked at a pedestrian crossing on Yeşilyol Street to the police department, Erol initiated action against the vehicle's driver, a police officer. Following Erol's instructions, a fine of 993 lira was imposed on the personnel who parked the police vehicle at the pedestrian crossing.
"OUR PERSONNEL WILL COMPLY WITH TRAFFIC RULES"
After the fine was issued, Erol, who was consulted for information, stated, "All our personnel, as law enforcers, will first comply with traffic rules, signs, and signals themselves. Our personnel will be sensitive to being role models for our citizens."
