A Polish tourist who went missing after checking out of a hotel in Kemer, Antalya, was found dead in a forested area by hanging with a waist bag.
It was revealed that a Polish tourist, who went missing after leaving the hotel where he was vacationing in the Kemer district of Antalya, committed suicide by hanging himself with his waist bag in a forested area as a result of search efforts.
HE WENT MISSING IN ANTALYA WHERE HE CAME FOR VACATION
It was reported that Grzegorz Stefan Krzywania, a 44-year-old Polish citizen who came to stay at a hotel operating in the Göynük neighborhood of Kemer district, left the hotel on June 17, did not board the flight he was supposed to take, and was not heard from.
Upon the report, security forces launched an operation to find the individual. Teams reviewed security camera footage, checked hospitals in the district, conducted research at taxi stands, and reviewed records of accommodation facilities in the area. Additionally, search activities were carried out along the coastline.
HE COMMITTED SUICIDE IN THE FOREST
When the individual could not be reached through the conducted efforts, search activities were expanded. As part of the investigations carried out by intelligence teams, JASAT units, and personnel of the Kemer Central Gendarmerie Station Command, an inspection was conducted in the forested area of Göynük on June 22.
Teams determined that the missing person had committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree using the waist bag he was wearing when he disappeared, approximately 200 meters inside from the main road in the area. An investigation has been launched into the death of the tourist who lost his life.
