METROS HAVE STARTED TO OPERATE
According to a report from the Spanish news agency EFE, it was stated that passengers have been evacuated from 123 out of 126 trains affected by the power outage. Madrid Metro has also resumed service on various lines.

Yesterday, widespread power outages affecting Spain and Portugal had occurred, bringing life to a standstill.
"15 GIGAWATTS OF PRODUCTION LOST IN 5 SECONDS"
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez made a second statement following the National Security Council meeting regarding the power outage that has been ongoing since noon in the capital Madrid at the Prime Minister's residence (Moncloa).
Sanchez stated, "Nearly 50% of the electricity flow has been restored nationwide, and improvements are being recorded in all regions." He mentioned that they are working to fully rectify the electricity supply and thanked France and Morocco for their solidarity during the crisis.
Prime Minister Sanchez said:
"The electricity company informed us yesterday at 12:33 that 15 gigawatts of production suddenly disappeared from the system within 5 seconds. This has never happened before. To give an idea, 15 gigawatts corresponded to about 60% of the country's needs at that moment."
Sanchez expressed that the cause of the outage that shook the country has not yet been determined, and both the state and the private sector are working in a coordinated manner.
Reiterating that no possibility regarding the cause of the power outage has been ruled out, Sanchez stated that all possibilities are being analyzed.
Sanchez urged the public to remain calm, explaining that there is no security problem in the country and that additional security forces are on duty.
