The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, gave an example from a Turkish proverb in a speech he made.
ATTENDED THE GROUND-BREAKING CEREMONY
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, visited the Khuzestan province in the south of the country, where the Arab population is densely located. Pezeshkian, who attended the ground-breaking ceremony of a school held in the city of Ahvaz, helped the workers by wearing a work suit.
GAVE AN EXAMPLE FROM A TURKISH PROVERB
In a panel on education, Pezeshkian drew attention to the problems in the system and gave an example from a Turkish proverb in his speech. Emphasizing the importance of raising good generations for solving the country's problems, Pezeshkian stated, "There is a saying in Turkish. If the son has awareness, what does it matter to the grandfather's property? If the son is unaware, what does it matter to the grandfather's property? If a child is smart, they can do what they want and possess what they desire. If they are foolish, they will lose what they have. We must provide our children and future generations with awareness and knowledge."
ALSO USED A TURKISH EXPRESSION
Emphasizing unity and solidarity in the country, Pezeshkian also used a Turkish expression in his speech, saying, "In Turkish, we say 'il gücü, sel gücü.' That is, just as no obstacle can stand in front of a flood when there is unity, no obstacle can stand in front of us either."
