The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, made important statements at the 11th Summit of the Council of Presidents of Turkic States Organization. Speaking at a joint press conference with President Erdoğan, Japarov invited Turkish companies to participate in the hydroelectric power plants they plan to establish in their country. "WE NEED A SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT"Stating that "the Kyrgyz Republic has very rich resources in terms of water and energy in Central Asia," Japarov said, "Approximately 90% of the electricity in the country was produced from hydroelectric sources between 2010 and 2020, with an average annual production volume of 12-13 terawatt-hours (TWh). I invite Turkish companies to be involved in the projects for establishing power plants in Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, we also need significant investment in transportation and logistics recently," he added. 19 AGREEMENTS SIGNED BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES19 cooperation agreements were signed between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. President Erdoğan announced that 19 agreements would be signed in his statement. Highlights from President Erdoğan's speech are as follows: "I am very happy to be in our ancestral homeland on the occasion of the 6th meeting of our High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. I would like to thank my dear brother, Mr. Sadyr Japarov, for the extraordinary hospitality. My dear brother, we will soon sign a document that will elevate our strategic partnership to a comprehensive strategic partnership level. This will establish a mechanism that will allow us to deepen our relations in security, transportation, health, and other areas. In my meeting with my dear brother Japarov, we agreed to raise the bilateral trade target to 5 billion dollars. "THE NAMING OF A HOSPITAL AFTER ME..."TIKA, which has been operating in Kyrgyzstan since 1992, has implemented over 1000 projects to date. The Turkish-Kyrgyz Friendship State Hospital, which we will inaugurate today, is among these projects. I would like to express that it greatly honors me to have my name given to the hospital. "OUR STRUGGLE WILL CONTINUE UNINTERRUPTED"We are successfully continuing our cooperation between our security institutions through training activities and technical support projects. I believe that our struggle against all forms of terrorism, especially FETÖ, will continue uninterrupted. We desire to further strengthen our cooperation through the Security Cooperation Agreement we will sign today. Let's quickly finalize the negotiations for the Education Cooperation Agreement as well. On this occasion, I would like to emphasize my satisfaction with Manas University entering the rankings of the world's best universities. Let’s continue to work in harmony for our university to make maximum contributions to Kyrgyzstan's human capital, science, and art. THANKS TO GAZAThe ongoing Israeli atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, deeply wounds global consciences. Israel's current attacks on Lebanon threaten the security of the entire region and the international system. At the informal summit of the Turkic States Organization held in Shusha, we condemned the indiscriminate targeting of civilians in Gaza and called for an urgent ceasefire and humanitarian aid. It is extremely important for us as the Turkic world to continue our efforts for a permanent and just solution to the Palestinian issue. In this context, I would like to thank Kyrgyzstan for its support in our multilateral initiatives, including the United Nations, to increase international pressure on Israel."
