The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, held a critical meeting with Murat Doğanay, the President of ASAD & ASAV, regarding energy, security, and strategic centralization. It was emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should not be just a symbolic entity, but rather a new geopolitical power center in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, received the President of the Eurasian Strategic Research Platform and Foundation (ASAD & ASAV), Murat Doğanay, at his office. The meeting addressed not only diplomatic courtesy but also multi-layered issues such as energy policies, strategic transition corridors, and the integration of the Turkish world.

In a statement from the Presidency, it was noted: The reception of the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Ersin Tatar, at the Presidential office was not just an institutional courtesy visit; it served as a platform for multi-dimensional evaluations regarding the re-coded geopolitical equation of the Eastern Mediterranean, strategic corridors based on energy logistics, the construction of digital sovereignty, and the vision of integration with the Turkish world.

Mr. President expressed that the Turkey-TRNC relations should be reinterpreted not only based on brotherhood and historical ties but also on the basis of joint infrastructure production, strategic capacity building, and advanced technology transfer. President Tatar emphasized that positioning the TRNC as an advanced center for energy, defense, and data security would strengthen Turkey's influence capacity both on the ground and at the negotiation table in the power competition in the Eastern Mediterranean.

ASAD & ASAV President Murat Doğanay shared with the President that they are working on strategic models based on the TRNC's de facto recognizability in the economic field, not as a state in international law, within the framework of their multi-layered analysis titled "New Geoeconomic Centers and Turkish Strategic Memory." Doğanay emphasized that the TRNC has the potential to be a leading geopolitical center for energy and data transition corridors that will develop between the Turkish States Organization, Africa, and the Middle East, rather than being merely a symbolic island state.

During the meeting, it was observed that topics such as energy diplomacy, digital regulation architecture, cybersecurity infrastructure, and free zone management were discussed at a technical level; this framework was seen to enhance the TRNC's opportunities for strategic synergy with the advanced technology infrastructures developed by Turkey.

Both sides agreed that multilateral structural initiatives that would strengthen the TRNC's international legitimacy should be advanced in coordination with strategic think tanks and with a controlled timing strategy.

This contact goes beyond a symbolic diplomatic threshold, representing a declaration of intent that the TRNC can play an active role in the technical and geopolitical reconstruction of the Eastern Mediterranean.
