A woman who went to a beauty center in Adana to enhance her appearance suffered second-degree burns on her face after undergoing a "princess facial treatment." Complaining about the beauty center and the employee who performed the procedure, the woman said, "When my 2-year-old son saw me like this, he ran away screaming 'monster' and fell and got hurt. I spent 7,000 lira to beautify myself, and I have become a victim."
Saide G. (40), a mother of four living in Adana, underwent a 'princess facial treatment' at a beauty center in the Mahfesığmaz neighborhood of the central Çukurova district last Friday. According to allegations, the woman, who developed burns on her face after the treatment, was sent home. Upon returning home, Saide G. went to Adana City Training and Research Hospital in the late hours of the night, unable to bear the pain on her face.
SHE DEVELOPED SECOND-DEGREE BURNS ON HER FACE
As soon as she arrived at the hospital, Saide G. was diagnosed with second-degree burns. Accompanied by reports, the woman went to the police station and filed a complaint against the beauty center and the employee who performed the procedure.
"SEND THE REPORT, WE WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY"
Meanwhile, the beauty center contacted Saide G., saying, "Send the doctor's report, let’s ask our lawyer, we will refund the fee for your 7,000 TL package."
"THEY HUNG UP THE PHONE LAUGHING"
Describing her experiences, Saide G. stated, "I went to get a princess facial treatment. This was my third session, but they did not count the first two sessions. Every time I went, my face was slightly burning, but it wasn't like this. I finished the session on Friday, came home, looked in the mirror, and saw large burns on my face. I have messages to reach the owner of the beauty center, I called, but they hung up the phone laughing, saying 'get well soon,' and did not respond in any way. When I went to the police station to file a complaint yesterday, the owner of the beauty center reached out to me, saying 'send the reports, let me consult my lawyer, then I will make the payment,' trying to brush me off," she expressed.
"I WENT TO GET BEAUTIFUL, I CAME BACK WITH A BURNED FACE"
Saide G. also claimed that the employee who performed her facial treatment was not a specialist, saying, "Normally, it is a beauty center, a laser technician cannot enter, a specialist must enter. But the women who do laser also do facial treatments. I went to get beautiful, but I came back home with a burned face. I am currently a victim, and I want my suffering to be compensated in every way, both materially and spiritually," she said.
"MY 2-YEAR-OLD SON IS AFRAID OF ME"
The woman, who explained that her 2-year-old child was scared when he saw her, said:
"I have a little son who is 2 years old, he saw me yesterday and ran away saying 'monster,' he fell from the balcony. My child does not approach me. My little child is afraid of me, he runs away. People going to beauty centers should definitely go to a quality place, a reliable place. If they have a small baby at home, they will face a lot of trouble later."
