In Bursa, a 16-year-old girl, T., who went to the home of Firuz Naobi, whom she met on social media, was repeatedly sexually abused by Naobi and three of his friends. A verdict was reached in the case where the defendants, who were arrested following the girl's complaint, were dressed in male clothing and sent home with 200 lira to avoid being recognized by the neighborhood. Naobi and Samet Ali Nazeri were sentenced to 40 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of 'sexual abuse of a child' committed 'in a chain', and 12 years for 'deprivation of liberty'. Additionally, Sufi Pivani and Naser Ahmed Azizi, whose DNA was not found, were sentenced to 36 years each for 'sexual abuse of a child' and 12 years each for 'deprivation of liberty'. E.T., who lives in the city, met Firuz Naobi, whom she became friends with on social media, in November 2023. After going out and having a meal together, E.T. went to Naobi's house in the Kestel district, where he stayed with Naser Ahmed Azizi, Samet Ali Nazeri, and Sufi Pivani, at his invitation. After chatting for a while, E.T. allegedly went to a room to sleep, where she was sexually abused by Firuz Naobi and his three friends. The suspects, who restrained E.T. by holding her hands and feet, repeatedly sexually abused her. The suspects dressed E.T. in male clothing and gave her 200 lira, threatening her by saying, "If you tell what happened, we will do something worse to you," and sent her home. E.T. later told her family about what happened. Following the family's complaint, the four suspects were arrested after their procedures at the police station. "I FELT BAD AND RETREATED TO THE ROOM"
After the investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a case was opened against the four arrested suspects at the Bursa 6th High Criminal Court. In the first hearing, E.T. gave her statement with the assistance of a psychologist, recounting her experiences as follows: "We met Firuz on social media last October. We decided to meet in November. That day we went out and had a meal together. Later, he invited me to his house. I went there. He had three friends with him that he never mentioned to me. I didn't think anything bad. After chatting, I felt bad and retreated to the room. At that moment, Firuz and his three friends came in, suddenly held my hands and arms, and laid me on the bed. Despite my pleas, they sexually abused me throughout the night. My male friend abused me the most. In the morning, they threatened me and sent me away with some money. I am complaining about them." 200 LIRA TAXI FARE...
One of the arrested suspects, Naser Ahmed Azizi, stated that he had sexual relations with E.T. at the request of Firuz and his friend Samet, while Firuz Naobi denied the allegations, claiming that he dressed E.T. in male clothing and gave her 200 lira as taxi fare to avoid being recognized by the neighborhood when he sent her home in the morning. Sufi Pivani's lawyer, Münevver Bilir, also stated, "My client's DNA was not found at the crime scene, and there is no evidence that would lead to punishment other than the victim's statement. The victim's statements are not suitable for clearly determining the date of the crime, and the base station data belonging to my client during the possible dates of the crime show that he was not at the crime scene at the time of the incident. It is seen that the victim was at home with her family during the dates of the alleged sexual abuse in statements taken for other crimes in various courts," she said.
"WE DO NOT THINK THEY DESERVE A GOOD CONDITION"The trial, which has reached the decision stage, continued. The panel sentenced Naobi and Nazeri, who had sexual relations with E.T. multiple times, to a total of 52 years and 6 months in prison, 40 years and 6 months for 'sexual abuse of a child' committed 'in a chain', and 12 years for 'deprivation of liberty'. The panel also sentenced Sufi Pivani and Naser Ahmed Azizi, who were alleged to have had sexual relations with E.T. once but whose DNA was not found, to 36 years in prison for 'sexual abuse of a child', based on the Supreme Court's precedent that "if one person commits an act and another is present, both are responsible for their actions." The defendants were also sentenced to 12 years in prison for 'deprivation of liberty'. The court panel, which imposed prison sentences on the four defendants for 'chain crimes', stated, "We do not think they deserve a good condition," and did not apply any discounts in the verdict.
