BUILDING MANAGER KARSLIĞLU, WHO WAS SAVED BY SECONDS: "MY HAIR STOOD ON END"
Cengiz Karslıoğlu (55), the building manager who was saved by seconds, stated that his hair stood on end when he watched the footage, saying, "I just watched the footage. My hair stood on end. We barely escaped by 1-2 seconds. My car was right in the middle. I had gotten in my car to leave. The collapse happened right after. The same problem exists in the adjacent building. We don’t know what to do. I will take my mother and leave. I can't keep her here. This place is currently at risk. I escaped by seconds. We must have had or will have our fate."
"WHEN I CAME IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE, I SAW MY CAR IN VERY BAD CONDITION"
Muzaffer Demir, one of the apartment residents, expressed that his car was damaged, stating, "Two hours ago, there was snow on my car. After cleaning it, I went inside. Two hours later, there was a loud noise and we shook. When I came in front of the house, I saw my car in very bad condition. We are very upset. There was no one outside during the collapse. Our building manager had gone out before the collapse. A year ago, there was a similar incident on the opposite wall. A tree had fallen on my other car. We experienced this again this year," he said.
