The first statement of the perpetrator, who shot a dentist in the head with a gun in Izmir and sent footage of the moments when the dentist was struggling for life to the dentist's mother, has emerged. It has been learned that the suspect stated in his testimony that he carried out the act because the dentist had defrauded him and caused him harm.
A brutal incident occurred in an apartment located on Ali Çetinkaya Boulevard in the Alsancak district of İzmir. According to allegations, M.E. (35) came to the house of dentist Mustafa Emrah Düşmez (49). A dispute broke out between the two here.
SHOT IN THE HEAD AND SENT A VIDEO TO HIS MOTHER
In the rapidly escalating argument, M.E. shot Düşmez in the head with a gun. M.E. took the dentist's phone and recorded a video of him gasping for breath in a pool of blood. After sending this video to Düşmez's mother, M.E. fled the scene.
SHE WATCHED HER CHILD GASPING FOR AIR
The woman, who was shocked to see the video of her son covered in blood, reported the situation to the police. In the examination conducted by the medical teams who arrived at the scene, it was determined that Mustafa Emrah Düşmez was seriously injured and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was learned that the dentist's life was in danger.
THE ATTACKER WAS CAPTURED
It was determined that the suspect who fled the scene was in the Basmane district, thanks to the efforts of the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate. The suspect was caught and detained by police units.
HE SHOT HIM BECAUSE HE HARMED HIM
In his first statement after being detained, M.E. reportedly said that he and Mustafa Emrah Düşmez were doing business together, that Düşmez had defrauded him and caused him harm, and that he committed the act for this reason. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
