In a fight that broke out over a road dispute in Mersin, a person named T.K. killed Kemal Veli Akyaka, his son Durmuş, and his daughter-in-law Ruhan Akyaka with a shotgun.

As a result of a road dispute in the Mut district of Mersin, a person named T.K. killed his father Kemal Veli Akyaka, his son Durmuş, and his daughter-in-law Ruhan Akyaka with a shotgun. After the incident, T.K. surrendered to the gendarmerie.

The incident occurred in the rural Çömelek neighborhood of the district. According to allegations, T.K., while passing by in an agricultural vehicle known as a "patpat," had an argument with his neighbors Kemal Veli Akyaka (65), who was boiling molasses, and his children. T.K. then went home, retrieved his shotgun, returned to the scene, and fired at his father Kemal Veli, his son Durmuş (35), and his daughter-in-law Ruhan Akyaka (35) in succession.

3 PEOPLE SHOT DEAD

Upon notification from the neighborhood residents, ambulances and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams confirmed that all three shot individuals had died. It was learned that the suspect T.K. surrendered to the gendarmerie teams that arrived in the area. Investigations by the teams at the scene are ongoing.
