As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding 'corruption and terrorism investigations into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB)', a second mobile phone hidden by Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from his position and arrested during a raid on a house, was seized. It was learned that İmamoğlu used a different phone during his detention.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its corruption investigation against suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) following his arrest, on charges of 'being a leader of a criminal organization', 'being a member of a criminal organization', 'bribery', 'extortion', 'qualified fraud', 'illegally obtaining personal data', and 'interfering with a tender'.
İMAMOĞLU'S MISSING MOBILE PHONE HAS BEEN SEIZED
As part of the investigation, a team from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Unit conducted an operation at a house and seized İmamoğlu's second mobile phone, which was being sought as missing.
UNDER INVESTIGATION
It was learned that İmamoğlu was using a different mobile phone during his detention, and his second mobile phone has been taken into custody for examination.
HTS RECORDS HAD BEEN IDENTIFIED
In March of last year, the HTS records of the calls made by İmamoğlu through the seized second phone had been accessed. The file indicated that İmamoğlu had spoken five times with Hüseyin Köksal, who is alleged to have transferred 50 million lira to İmamoğlu İnşaat, using this phone. It was also determined that he had spoken twice with Kağan Sürmegöz, the Head of the IMM Real Estate Management Department, eight times with Serdal Taşkın, the former General Manager of Kültür AŞ who was arrested in the same investigation, and eleven times with Murat Abbas, the General Manager of Kültür AŞ who is a whistleblower.
135 MEETINGS WITH FATİH KELEŞ
According to HTS records, İmamoğlu had 135 meetings with Fatih Keleş, who is identified as "one of the organization leaders" in the investigation file, 521 meetings with Murat Ongun, the Chairman of the Media AŞ Board of Directors, 38 meetings with Buğra Gökçe, the President of İPA, and 469 meetings with Necati Özkan.
