Emine Durmuş (89) was found dead in her home in Gürlek Neighborhood of Honaz district in Denizli on April 13. After the suspicious death of Durmuş, which was evaluated as a suspect, the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) intervened. The JASAT team, known as the detectives of the gendarmerie, meticulously investigated the death of the elderly woman for 3 months. The fact that Cihan Durmuş (30), who was considered a suspect in the murder of the elderly woman and was put under surveillance, went to his mother's grave every day also drew the attention of the JASAT teams.
ARRESTED IN AN OPERATION
Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, the suspect Cihan Durmuş was arrested as a murder suspect in a ready meal establishment through a joint operation of JASAT and Honaz District Gendarmerie Command 3 months after his mother's death. Cihan Durmuş's girlfriend, Fatma A. (37), was also arrested by the gendarmerie teams as a suspect.

After the procedures at the gendarmerie, the 2 suspects were referred to the courthouse. While being taken to the courthouse, the murder suspect Cihan Durmuş reacted to the press members who were filming him and said, "Someone shut him up." Cihan Durmuş was decided to be tried under arrest by the court, while Fatma A. was released under judicial control. In addition, the post Cihan Durmuş shared on the day his mother died through his social media account also drew attention. Cihan Durmuş first shared "My dear mother reunited with my father. She reached the mercy of God. May your place be heaven, my dear mother," and then shared another photo with his mother with the note "My dear mother, may your place be heaven. I forgive you."
NUMEROUS CRIMINAL RECORDS
