Kışla took the injured squirrel to the veterinarian for treatment. Emre Kışla wanted to release the healed squirrel back into nature, but the squirrel came back every time.
HE BECAME HIS CLOSEST FRIEND
Kışla named the squirrel, who never left his side, 'Fındık' (Hazelnut), saying, "We became very close friends. I see the love from him that I don't see from people. Sometimes we walk together in the streets and along the beach. He generally likes to sit on my shoulder and on top of my head. Wherever I go, Fındık comes with me. I definitely don't put him in a cage; he roams freely. People who see us are surprised and show interest. They want to pet Fındık and take pictures with him," he said.

Emre Kışla expressed that his bond with Fındık is getting stronger, saying, "I feed my squirrel friend with nuts like hazelnuts, walnuts, and cashews, as well as various greens. I regularly get his vaccinations done. I do research on the internet and pay attention to things that should not be fed to him. Also, when we go outside together, I try to protect Fındık from seagulls, crows, cats, and dogs. He is already afraid of other animals and when he hears a sound, he immediately comes into my arms. My biggest fear is Fındık dying. I would be very sad if something happened to him," he said.
