'I USED IT OUT OF CURIOSITY'
In his statement, Hacıoğlu mentioned that he tried the drug for the first time during a period he was in the Netherlands, saying:
"During a time I was in the Netherlands, I used the drug called marijuana out of curiosity. This was the first time I experienced this substance. There were times when I used this substance from time to time."
DETAILS ABOUT THE TELEGRAM APPLICATION AND MAILBOX
The actor, who explained that he obtained the substance over the internet, used the following expressions:
"I was ordering from the numbers of drug sales groups found on the internet site called Telegram. I never saw these people face to face. They usually leave the substance in the mailbox at my residence and take the cash I had previously left there. Since I am a publicly known person, I was careful about this and never made face-to-face drug transactions with anyone."
HE SAID HE REGRETTED
Hacıoğlu, who stated that he regretted using drugs, expressed that professional stress was effective during this process:
"I regret using the substance. Due to the stressful periods I go through as an actor, I turned to this substance to relax. I did not use any other drugs besides marijuana. I have not been in any environment where drugs are used. I did not provide drugs to anyone. I accept the accusation against me in this way."
He stated that he was in Ayvalık for a series project and used the following expressions:
"Before I was detained, I was in Ayvalık district due to a series project. For this reason, there was a certain amount of drugs at my residence. I handed over my mobile phone along with its password to the police officers."
The investigation process is ongoing.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention orders were issued for 25 people on charges of 'purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for personal use', 'promoting and facilitating prostitution', and 'facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants'. In the operation, 21 people, including Kaan Tangöze, Murat Dalkılıç, İsmail Hacıoğlu, Adem Kılıçcı, Murat Cevahiroğlu, Barış Talay, Hakan Kakız, Kemal Doğulu, Murat Öztürk, Alihan Taşkın, Tolga Sezgin, Ramazan Bayar, Aygün Aydın, and Buse Görkem Narcı, were detained. The suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse after undergoing a health check. Meanwhile, it was learned that a detention order was issued for singer Edis.
CELEBRITIES RELEASED
After their statements to the prosecutor's office, suspects Kaan Tangöze, Murat Dalkılıç, İsmail Hacıoğlu, and Kemal Doğulu were released. Barış Talat, Dilara Kırmıt, Ramazan Bayar, Tolga Kulakçı, and Tolga Sezgin were referred to the court with a request for arrest, while 12 suspects were referred to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for judicial control.
5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Of the suspects referred to the Peace Criminal Court, 5 were arrested by the court and sent to prison. Meanwhile, judicial control measures were applied to 12 people.
