The statement of the doctor who was arrested after the taxi driver he argued with fell and lost his life during the scuffle has emerged.

In Maltepe, on March 12, taxi driver Ali Zeki Sadıkoğlu (54) was injured in the head after falling during a scuffle that arose from a traffic dispute with orthopedic doctor F.Ç. (44). The taxi driver passed away two months later.

HIS STATEMENT HAS EMERGED

After the taxi driver's death, the doctor who was taken into custody was arrested by the court he was brought to. The doctor's statement has emerged. The arrested doctor F.Ç. stated in his testimony, "On the day of the incident, while I was driving with my wife, my son, and our neighbor M.K., as I was descending from the front of Hiltown AVM in Aydınevler neighborhood of Maltepe, a taxi suddenly braked and stopped; no accident occurred. I did not hit the vehicle. The taxi driver got out of the car to take a photo. I asked him why he was taking a photo since there was no accident. He replied, 'It doesn't work that way.'

"HE FELL WHILE PUSHING ME, I WAS THE FIRST TO INTERVENE"

After that, I got out of the vehicle. When I checked my car, I saw that there was no damage. There was a rusty scratch on the back bumper of the taxi. I told the driver that this scratch was old. He cursed at me. I turned towards my vehicle. I opened the door. At that moment, he grabbed my arm. He said, 'You can't go anywhere.' I told him he couldn't detain us. I asked my wife for my phone to call 112 from inside the vehicle. My wife handed me the phone. I said I was calling 112. The person punched me in the left chest, saying, 'I'll kill you,' and tried to push me. While he was pushing me, he tripped and lost his balance, falling to the ground. He hit his head on the ground. I was the first to intervene with him. I definitely did not hit this person. As I said, he lost his balance and fell to the ground while attacking me. I do not accept the accusation. I am complaining about the person named Ali Zeki Sadıkoğlu, who threatened and insulted me and punched me in the chest," he stated.

"I HAVE PATIENTS AND SCHEDULED TREATMENTS"

In his defense at the court, the doctor said, "There are no signs of assault on the other side. This is proven by the Forensic Medicine Report. I have patients and scheduled treatments and surgeries. I have a student child, so I request to be tried without detention."
