Media Ombudsman Faruk Bildirici wrote in his article titled "The Most Famous Retiree in Turkey and the World" about who took the photo in question and in which countries the photo has been used.

Stating that the photo was uploaded to Shutterstock on September 26, 2016, and then to Istock, Bildirici continued his article as follows: "There are also different photos of this person on the stock site, like eating ice cream; probably he ate ice cream after using the ATM! I couldn't find his name, but it seems that this person is perhaps the most famous retiree not only in Turkey but maybe in the world."
