Emrah Elveren, who went missing in Bursa four years ago, had a friend who was taken into custody during a live broadcast and subsequently brought to court. The individual accused Elveren's family, stating, "I am innocent; I have nothing to do with this. It is his family that has caused the boy's disappearance. It's a matter of honor, and there's also an issue regarding a field. Emrah was a withdrawn child."
The family of Emrah Elveren, who has been living with his friend Ahmet Ş. in Bursa and has not been heard from since 2021, participated in a television program with the claim that he was killed by his aunt Havva O., who resides in Yalova, and buried in the garden.
ARRESTED LIVE ON AIR
During the program, Emrah's father, Hamdi Elveren, went to the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to file a complaint. Upon the prosecutor's instructions, the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) initiated an investigation regarding the allegations, while Elveren's housemate Ahmet Ş., who gave contradictory statements during the television program, was taken into custody during the live broadcast.
Ahmet Ş., who was brought to Yalova by JASAT, was found to have continued using Elveren's mobile phone after his disappearance.
"THE FAMILY THAT DESTROYED THAT CHILD"
After completing his procedures at the Gendarmerie Command, Ahmet Ş. was referred to the courthouse. While being taken to the courthouse, Ahmet Ş. answered journalists' questions, saying, "I am innocent; I have nothing to do with this. It is his family that did this. The family that destroyed that child. It is a matter of honor, and also a matter of land. Emrah was a withdrawn child."
"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING"
In response to the allegations that he used Elveren's phone, Ahmet Ş. said, "We change our phones. We are single people. I bought him a phone. I don't remember him leaving a phone at home. How can I say something I don't remember? The place where we bought the phone together is clear. His family did it; they are guilty. I didn't do anything."
