Turkey is shaken by the death of the Bocek family members, who lost their lives due to suspected poisoning after pest control was carried out at their hotel, as news of further poisoning cases continues to emerge. Most recently, the death of 13-year-old Eren Yılgın, who was found lifeless at home by his mother in Esenyurt, Istanbul, is also under suspicion of poisoning.
MOTHER FOUND 13-YEAR-OLD EREN DEAD AT HOME
According to the information obtained; Eren Yılgın (13), who was alone at home because his parents were at work, was found unconscious by his mother around 19:15. Seeing her son lying motionless, the mother notified the owner of the pharmacy below the building. Upon the notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that Eren Yılgın had passed away. Police teams initiated an investigation at the house and surrounding area due to the suspicious death. Yılgın's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution after the investigation at the scene was completed.
"THEY ARE FOCUSING ON POISONING SUSPICIONS"
Salih Yılgın, the father who lost his son, said, "My child had no issues. He just ordered food from outside. After eating it, I left the house. I was home when the order arrived. I went out to go to work. His mother was also at work. We couldn't reach my child's phone. He was talking to his mother at 17:20. When she came home, my child was on the floor. The prosecutor said the process is ongoing. They are currently focusing on poisoning suspicions. The place we ordered food from is known. I haven't heard of anyone getting poisoned after ordering from the same place. I can't interfere with anyone's livelihood. It would be wrong to say anything before the report comes out. I lost my 21-year-old daughter 6-7 months ago. I can't blame anyone; the forensic report will come out, and those responsible will face their consequences," he said.
SAMPLE TAKEN FROM CHICKEN DÖNER
It was determined that Eren Yılgın ordered chicken döner from outside before he passed away. Due to the suspicion of poisoning, it was learned that teams from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry went to the place where the chicken döner was ordered to take samples for examination.
The body of Eren Yılgın, whose autopsy procedures were completed at the Forensic Medicine Institution, was handed over to his family. It was learned that Yılgın would be buried after the funeral prayer to be held following the afternoon prayer at Esenyurt Uhud Mosque.
