The Syrian army continues its pinpoint operations against PKK/YPG positions located in the Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of the city center of Aleppo. While intense clashes are ongoing in the region, army units that have passed the first positions at the entrance of the Ashrafiyeh neighborhood are trying to advance into the interior.
The Syrian army continues its operations against the positions of the PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDG, in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods of Aleppo, currently under occupation.

After the evacuation of civilians in the afternoon, the army targeted military points belonging to the organization. While clashes continue, army units that passed the first positions at the entrance of the Ashrafiyeh neighborhood are trying to advance into the interior.
THEY TARGETED CIVILIAN SETTLEMENTS
The terrorist organization PKK/YPG is conducting attacks on civilian settlements in the city center of Aleppo from the areas it occupies, using mortars, rockets, and various heavy weapons. The organization attacked vehicles belonging to civilians in the vicinity of Rahman Mosque, Nile Street, and the Syriac neighborhood in the city center.
142 THOUSAND CIVILIANS HAVE BEEN EVACUATED FROM THE AREA
According to a report by the Syrian Official News Agency SANA, 5 locations belonging to the organization, 3 in Sheikh Maqsoud and 2 in Ashrafiyeh, were shared on a map, and civilians were asked to evacuate the area. Following the announcement of the Syrian army's operation in these regions, 142 thousand civilians were evacuated to safe areas.
In a report attributed to the Aleppo Central Intervention Committee, it was stated, "Eighty transport vehicles were assigned, and 12 temporary shelters were opened; 10 of them are located within the city of Aleppo, and two are in the regions of Azaz and Afrin. The flow of displaced people continues."
THE NUMBER OF CASUALTIES HAS RISEN TO 7
On the other hand, health officials in Aleppo who spoke to SANA provided evaluations regarding the situation in the city. It was reported that the number of people killed in the attacks carried out by PKK/YPG since December 6 has risen to 7.
It was stated that 52 people, mostly civilians, were also injured in the attacks. It was noted that among the injured were health workers.
CLASHES IN ALEPPO
In the PKK/YPG attacks that started on January 6 in the city center of Aleppo, 1 soldier and 5 civilians were killed, and 31 people were injured. The Syrian army also sent reinforcements of dozens of tanks and armored personnel carriers to the contact lines with PKK/YPG.
Due to the clashes, work in official institutions in the city center was halted, and education in schools and universities was suspended. Flights at Aleppo International Airport were also suspended.
On the same day, the terrorist organization PKK/YPG attacked a school and a hospital in the Syriac neighborhood in the evening.
The Damascus administration had requested the terrorist organization PKK/YPG to comply with agreements and to end the attacks in Aleppo.
