In accordance with the decision made by the Istanbul Governorship, the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line Taksim station and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular line have been closed. It was stated that the decision will remain in effect until further notice.

TAKSIM METRO STATION CLOSED
The Istanbul Governorship made a striking decision. The governorship announced that the Taksim metro station and the Taksim-Kabataş Funicular line are closed until further notice. It was stated that vehicles will continue their journeys without stopping at the station.
In a statement from the governorship, it was noted, "In accordance with the decision made by the Istanbul Governorship, as of 17:30 today, the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line Taksim station and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be closed to operation until further notice. Vehicles will continue their journeys without stopping at the Taksim station."
PROTEST BAN IN ISTANBUL EXTENDED
On the other hand, the Istanbul Governorship had banned demonstrations, actions, and protests in the city until March 23 following the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu. The governorship later announced that the ban on actions and demonstrations has been extended until March 27, stating, "It was mentioned in the statement that individuals, groups, and vehicles that may participate in unlawful actions using the routes of our province from the districts of our province or surrounding provinces will not be allowed to enter or exit our province."
