24-year-old Dominican teacher Joheirry Mola Dominguez, who captured the attention of millions with her beauty, was crowned the most beautiful woman in the world at Miss World 2026 held in Vietnam. Dominguez, who also stands out as an educator, reporter, and social entrepreneur, wore the crown, while Sıla Saraydemir, representing Turkey, made her mark in the competition by reaching the top 40.
The winner of the Miss World 2026 competition held in Vietnam was Joheirry Mola Dominguez, a 24-year-old representing the Dominican Republic. Dominguez, who stood out with her identity as a teacher, journalist, and social entrepreneur, surpassed her rivals in the competition where representatives from 111 countries competed and became the new owner of the world's most prestigious beauty crown. Sıla Saraydemir, who represented Turkey in the competition, also succeeded in making it to the top 40.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THE WORLD BECAME A DOMINICAN TEACHER
The grand final of Miss World 2026 took place in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on September 5. The representative of the Dominican Republic, Joheirry Mola Dominguez, won the 73rd Miss World title.
In the final, Spain's representative Elisabeth Reynés was chosen as the first runner-up, and Malaysia's representative Taanusiya Chetty was chosen as the second runner-up. Thus, the Dominican Republic won the Miss World crown for the second time.
While representatives from 111 countries participated in the competition, the Top 40 was determined first on the road to the final. According to the official statement of the Miss World organization, the quarterfinalists were determined as a result of various challenge events held throughout the competition, public voting, and jury evaluations.
Before the competition, Dominguez had guaranteed her place in the Top 40 by winning the Top Model award in the Americas and Caribbean region.
TURKISH BEAUTY SILA SARAYDEMIR ALSO IN THE TOP 40
Sıla Saraydemir represented Turkey in the competition. Saraydemir achieved significant success for Turkey by making it to the top 40 at Miss World 2026. The Turkish representative was among the 10 names from the Asia and Oceania region who advanced to the Top 40.
Saraydemir also took part in social responsibility activities carried out with the Turkey Down Syndrome Association under the "Beauty With a Purpose" initiative during the competition process.

Dominguez, 24, is described on Miss World's official profile as a literature and social studies teacher, news reporter, and social entrepreneur. Dominguez, who studied Business Administration and Management at Universidad Iberoamericana, is also the founder and president of the organization named "Voices of Tomorrow."
Through the organization she founded, Dominguez aims to increase access to English education for children and young people living in disadvantaged communities. She also supports children in developing their critical thinking and self-expression skills by teaching literature and social studies lessons in English.

In the final, she was asked about the "Beauty With a Purpose" projects she supported in her country and how she would develop these projects if she were chosen as Miss World.
