Adanaspor, which has been in the news due to financial difficulties, has received a penalty from the Turkish Football Federation. The Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK) imposed a fine of 450,000 TL on the orange-white club for not having an athletic performance coach in the team roster.
PENALTY OF 450,000 TL FOR ADANASPOR FROM PFDK
Adanaspor, competing in the TFF 2nd League Red Group and drawing attention due to its recent economic problems, has been fined 450,000 TL by the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK). The reason for the decision was stated as the absence of the athletic performance coach, which is mandatory among the coaches that the club must have in its roster.
TFF: VIOLATION OF REGULATIONS CITED
In the statement from TFF, it was noted that Adanaspor A.Ş. not having the athletic performance coach, which it is required to have in its roster starting from the 2025/2026 season, constitutes a violation of the "Regulations on the Status and Working Principles of Coaches," and a fine of 450,000 TL was imposed in accordance with the relevant article.

While it remains a question how Adanaspor will pay the fine, the club had previously been in the news due to difficulties arising from its debts. During the process when the team bus was seized due to debts, it was claimed that they could not pay the 3,500 TL bill for a meal they had at a restaurant while going to an away game and had to wait at the restaurant for a while. It was stated that the amount was paid by the then head coach Yüksel Yeşilova.
