Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that they are working on a plan regarding U.S. President Trump's proposal to expel Palestinians in Gaza to other Arab countries. Smotrich argued that Gaza should be completely occupied.
Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that they are working on a proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump to "cleanse" Gaza by exiling Palestinians in the region to Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab countries.
THEY ARE WORKING TO EXILE GAZANS According to a report by the "Ynet" news site, Smotrich, the leader of the Religious Zionism Party, announced during his party's group meeting in the Israeli Knesset that they are working on a plan with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the Cabinet to implement the proposal for the expulsion of Palestinians. Claiming that President Trump offers a "wise, measured, and realistic" perspective, Smotrich suggested that encouraging migration is the only solution to remove Palestinians from their land.
Smotrich cited President Trump's stance on deporting immigrants despite Colombia's objections as an example in response to reactions from Egypt and Jordan, stating, "When he (Trump) wants it, it happens."
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich "GAZA MUST BE COMPLETELY OCCUPIED" Regarding the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, Smotrich argued that Israel needs to change its war strategy at the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement. Smotrich asserted that "Hamas must be completely destroyed and Gaza must be completely occupied," and that this requires the appointment of an "aggressive" chief of staff.
TRUMP HAD MADE A CALL U.S. President Trump had proposed the idea of exiling Palestinians in Gaza to Arab countries, primarily Jordan and Egypt.
Trump called for these countries to accept more Palestinians and to "settle these individuals in homes that will be built in different places," stating that this could be "temporary" or "long-term." Trump, who said, "I would prefer to meet with Arab countries and build homes elsewhere where (Palestinians) can live in peace," faced backlash from Arab countries, especially Egypt and Jordan.
