The regulation proposing a flat salary increase of 30,000 lira for general managers, department heads, inspectors, and experts working in the public sector has been approved by the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) Planning and Budget Commission. With this regulation, which will soon be presented to the TBMM General Assembly, 30,000 civil servants will benefit from this increase.

30,000 LIRA RAISE FOR SENIOR OFFICIALS
A striking proposal was accepted in the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission. The regulation foreseeing a flat increase of 30,000 lira for senior officials working in public institutions in positions such as general director, department head, inspector, and expert was approved by the commission.
HERE ARE THE OFFICIALS WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE RAISE
According to the news in Memurlar, the following names will benefit from the flat salary increase of 30,000 lira: Secretary General of the TBMM, President of SGK, President of AFAD, President of the Board of Education and Discipline, President of TÜİK, Heads of Guidance and Inspection of the Ministry, Ambassadors, President of Religious Affairs, Vice President of Religious Affairs, Deputy Director of Revenue Administration, General Director, Deputy Heads of ÖİB, SGK, AFAD, President of TİKA, Senior Advisor of the Ministry of Justice, Advisors of the Ministry and Undersecretariat, provincial director of the ministry and regional director of the ministry, Chief Tax Officer, Provincial Police Chief, Provincial Mufti,
Those in the positions of chief inspector, inspector, chief auditor, auditor, chief controller, controller, and internal auditor in the general administrative services class of the central organization of public institutions, legislative experts and stenographers of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, insurance inspection experts and actuaries of the Treasury Undersecretariat, Foreign Affairs Career Officers, and Consular and Specialized Officers, those in the expert title positions of the central organization mentioned in the subparagraph (ğ) of the section 'II- Compensation' of Article 152 of the State Civil Servants Law No. 657 dated 14/7/1965, and their assistants,

On the other hand, former AK Party Deputy Şamil Tayyar, who had a phone conversation with the Chairman of the Planning and Budget Commission, Mehmet Muş, made the following statement: "Our Planning and Budget Commission Chairman Mehmet Muş called, and we discussed the proposal regarding the 30,000 lira increase in expert salaries. He explained why this regulation was needed.
30,000 RAISE FOR 30,000 OFFICIALS
He stated that the expertise defined as a 'career profession' is struggling in the public sector due to low salaries, and that it is difficult to find qualified experts to prepare reports in critical institutions from the SPK to the BDDK, and that the system is on the verge of collapsing. He mentioned that the opposition also supported this because they realized the severity of this problem. He expressed that approximately 30,000 experts, inspectors, and senior managers in critical positions would benefit from this regulation.
I conveyed that I agree with this approach and said, 'You are right, but there is a need for a general reform in the public sector; it cannot be done with palliative measures.' He agreed and added: 'In the first stage, we want to eliminate the bottleneck in the system; that will happen later.' I found it reasonable, and I deleted my previous tweet. Hopefully, a comprehensive public reform will be carried out in the future, and these discussions will come to an end."
